You'll always find endless patience, good senses of humor and a solid base of knowledge to help you get you off on the right foot. We find it highly rewarding assisting individuals getting started and seeing their progression. It can definitely be a challenge getting started in anything but especially it seems in figuring out flyfishing Washington rivers. We strive to create a fun, safe and practical learning environment when teaching beginners to fly fishing. Our methods of teaching focus on practicality and you gaining knowledge in the specific area of interest. It can be a daunting task figuring out fly fishing and down right dangerous running these Pacific Northwest rivers on your own without appropriate knowledge, training and skills. That being said, once you have a good base of knowledge, flyfishing and running our amazing Washington rivers is a rewarding experience in a very magical place. We prefer to teach classes in a one on one or two setting to maximize the amount of information we cover as well as increase your understanding and retention. That being said, group courses and casting clinics are a frequent occurrence as well. Written course materials provided.
Large class venues can certainly be accomodated with appropriate instructor to student ratio. |

At Cascades Flyfishing, we're passionate about teaching individuals who want to learn more about Washington flyfishing, flycasting and running rivers.
Subject matter includes field-based single-handed flycasting, field-based Spey casting, knot tying, understanding Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations, river safety, safely fly casting on the river, reading rivers for flyfishing, practical application of fly fishing rivers, rowing rivers for fly fishing and running whitewater. We strive to make sure that there's not better courses for beginners flyfishing in Washington State.
