Washington River Tours and Eagle Float TripsThe Skagit, Nooksack and Yakima rivers are just plain amazing. Within our vastly diverse Pacific Northwest ecosystems, we have some of the most incredible scenery and photo opportunities in the United States. Cascades Expeditions offers Bald Eagle float trips, river rafting, wildlife and birding viewing tours and river float trips on a number of our stunning Washington rivers. Bald Eagles arrive in solid numbers on the Skagit and Nooksack rivers during the late Fall to A simply fantastic number of juvenile Bald Eagles arrived on the Nooksack and Skagit rivers in the 2009/2010 season. This has also been the case for winter 2011 and should prove true well into the New Year. There are splendid opportunities for viewing other avian species and wildlife as well on the Nooksack and Skagit rivers. Osprey become a fairly common sighting in the late Spring, Summer and Fall. The vast variety of our avian friends running around here include the American Dipper, Great Blue Heron, Kingfishers, Mergansers, Common Goldeneye, Barrow's Golden Eye, Mallard and Wood ducks as well as Red Tail Hawk. There are awesome views of Mt. Baker, the Twin Sisters, Church Mountain and the North Cascades Range depending on the river we float. There's no better way to experience the beauty of these natural resources than a Washington river float trip! We offer fine riverside dining experiences from summer deli lunches to a variety of soups in the winter. Hot chocoloate, coffee, water and snacks accompany most outings. For winter river tours, we have loaner expedition weight fleece and heavy rain jackets available to ensure you stay warm and comfortable. Our Maravia rafts can accomodate from 2 to 6 people per raft. We are more than absolutely happy to host larger groups for corporate outings, family reunions and team building events.
